TEMPS D'IMAGES 2011, 11-20 november in Cluj
We start the new performance season with the 4th edition of the TEMPS D'IMAGES festival. This year we propose spectacles that are connected to reality and that remind you of us and of the times we live.
We all feel that we live in a period of major changes, changes that don't give us time to remember of ourselves and the community we live in. The selection of the performances this year will show you the image of our times in different forms. We selected shows of artists who like the confrontation with their time and find subjects to explore in the reality right next to them.
Besides the foreign performances that we invited, we stand on independent Romanian productions made by young artists that bring up, in performative ways, subjects that are connected to the recent history, to present cultural phenomena, to the influence of the virtual in our lives, to the memory of the reality crossing our bodies. And because we believe very much in the young artists with attitude from Romania, we thought of creating for them a platform for the independent performing arts within the festival. We still want the festival to be an oasis for international meetings. Among those we invite you to a special projection of the movie "Pina" directed by Wim Wenders followed by an extraordinary lecture of Robert Sturm, the artistic director of the Tanztheater Wuppertal where Pina Bausch created for over 30 years.
