Temps d'images Festival

Created in 2002 by the television channel ARTE and La Ferme du Buisson - National scene Marne la Valée from France, the project TEMPS D'IMAGES, theatre festival, dance and image photo/ video, developed at European level, is taking place now in ten countries: Belgium, Estonia, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Romania, Hungary and Turkey. TEMPS D'IMAGES is an interdisciplinary European project aims to create bridges between artists from the performing arts and visual arts, to create new artistic forms. It emphasis on the dialectical relationship between the stage and filmed image, the real characters and projected images. Performances' characteristic from TEMPS D'IMAGES consists of the attempt to bring a balance between now and then, between live and "recorded" using video and multimedia as an essential element in performing arts drama.

For Romania, the accomplishment of the Temps d'images project means developing and sustaining a new kind of performance that puts together artists with and from different artistic horizons, as theater, dance and image. This project will include Cluj on the interdisciplinary European festivals map and enlarge the cultural offer less prevalent today in Romanian cultural space, that aims to reach a more diverse audience. .

TEMPS D'IMAGES helps support the interdisciplinary creation and artistic research through international co-productions, research laboratories, representing it as a label for artists with interdisciplinary interests. Through the European project, its organizers aim to support financially and logistically the young artists in their creative approaches and provide a framework for high quality professional exposure.

Performative short circuite at PaintBrush Factory

Wishing to perpetuate the presence of contemporary dance performance in other spaces and geographical areas, this year CNDB explores new territories and audiences, inviting, this time, Cluj public to discover very different aesthetic areas and active artists on the national and international scenes.

"Performative short-circuit" is the project through which CNDB opens the dialog with the new Colectiv A structure, with which it makes this first project, besides PaintBrush Factory in Cluj where it is based.

PaintBrush Factory, this singular initiative in the Romanian space, is a place of creativity and dissemination of contemporary art as an independent cultural center that gathers 29 contemporary art spaces, artists' studios, galleries and cultural organizations active in the fields of visual arts, contemporary dance and theater.

Between April 16 - 22 May PaintBrush Factory will be the hosting space in which performative elements will interact, causing an intense short circuit to the public.

A new series of works and performances CNDB mark and not only will be presented to the public of Cluj. Choreographers Paul Dunca, Manuel Pelmuş, Eduard Gabia, Alexandra Pirici, Florin Flueraş, Iuliana Stoianescu, Maria Baroncea, Mădălina Dan, Carmen Coţofană, Mihaela Dancs, Andreea Novac, Farid Fairuz and the Turkish choreographer Caglar Yigitogullari surely will attract attention – launching challenges and presenting different choreographic perspectives and discourses, thus extending the view over the contemporary artistic practices.
